• Lima Cooking Class (4hrs)

Depart Lima and arrive in the historic city of Cusco. The flight offers stunning views of the Andes Mountains.

When we arrive in Cusco, we will settle into our hotel and then go on a walking tour together. 

Walking Tour: Acclimate to the altitude with a leisurely walking tour of Cusco’s charming streets, plazas, and markets. Highlights include the stunning Plaza de Armas, the impressive Cusco Cathedral, and the vibrant San Pedro Market. Here, you can delight your taste buds by sampling a variety of local delicacies, from savory street foods to sweet treats, while also enjoying the lively atmosphere.

Don’t forget to explore the stalls filled with traditional crafts, offering a perfect opportunity to take home unique souvenirs that reflect the rich culture of this enchanting city.

• Visit a School in Inquilpata: Engage with local educators and students, sharing experiences and learning about the Peruvian education system. This visit provides a unique opportunity to understand the challenges and successes of education in rural Peru.

• Visit Huaypo Lagoon: Enjoy the serene beauty of this high-altitude lagoon, perfect for a peaceful retreat. The area is ideal for bird watching, photography, and simply soaking in the natural surroundings.

• Dance Show at the Center Quosqo of Native Art: Experience traditional Peruvian dance and music at this renowned cultural center. The performances showcase the rich cultural heritage of the region, with colorful costumes and lively music.

Today we will do some sightseeing in and around Cusco!

• Saqsayhuaman: Explore this impressive Inca fortress with its massive stone walls and panoramic views of Cusco. Learn about the engineering marvels of the Inca civilization and the historical significance of this site.

• Qenqo: Visit this archaeological site known for its labyrinthine passages and ceremonial altars. The site offers insights into Inca religious practices and their connection to the natural world.

• Alpaca Farm: Learn about the importance of alpacas in Andean culture and enjoy the opportunity to interact with these gentle animals. The farm visit includes demonstrations of traditional weaving techniques using alpaca wool.

• Qorikancha: an ancient Incan temple in Cusco, Peru, once dedicated to the Sun God. It showcases stunning architecture and intricate stonework, reflecting the Incas' engineering skills. The site features a blend of Incan and colonial architecture, as a church was later built on its foundations. Visiting Qorikancha offers a unique glimpse into the rich cultural history of the Inca civilization.

Today we will explore the Sacred Valley together and board the train to Aguas Calientes!

• Chinchero: Explore this charming village known for its traditional weaving and vibrant market. The village is also home to a beautiful colonial church built on Inca foundations.

• Moray: Visit the unique circular terraces of Moray, believed to have been an agricultural research station. Learn about the Inca’s advanced agricultural techniques and their understanding of microclimates.

• Salineras de Maras: Marvel at the ancient salt mines, where salt has been harvested since Inca times. The terraced salt pans create a stunning visual landscape and offer a glimpse into traditional salt production methods.

• Ollantaytambo: Discover this well-preserved Inca town and its impressive archaeological site. The town’s layout and structures provide insights into Inca urban planning and architecture.

We will board the train and travel through the scenic Sacred Valley to the town of Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. The train journey offers breathtaking views of the Andean landscape.

Today is the day! We will head to one of the wonders of the world, Machu Picchu!

2. Chocolate-Making Workshop- Unleash your inner chocolatier with a hands-on chocolate-making workshop. Learn about the history of cacao in Peru, the process of making chocolate from bean to bar, and create your own delicious treats to take home

   Coca Museum- Learn about the cultural and historical significance of the coca plant in Andean society. The museum provides insights into the traditional uses of coca and its role in contemporary Peruvian culture1.

6. Planetarium Cusco- Enjoy a night under the stars at the Cusco Planetarium. Learn about Inca astronomy and the importance of celestial bodies in Inca culture. The planetarium offers guided stargazing sessions and educational presentations1.

Relax and enjoy a free day in Cusco or join a group activity. 

Embark on a hike to the stunning Vinicunca, also known as Rainbow Mountain, famous for its vibrant, multi-colored slopes. The trek is challenging, taking you to an altitude of over 5,000 meters (16,400 feet), but the breathtaking views of the colorful mountain and surrounding landscapes make it well worth the effort.

Trek to the beautiful Humantay Lake, a glacial lake surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The hike offers a chance to experience the natural beauty of the Andes and the tranquility of the high-altitude lake. The trail is moderately challenging and provides stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
