Travel Tips

  1. Use an Oyster Card or Contactless

Save money on public transport by using an Oyster card or a contactless debit/credit card on buses, the Tube, and trains.

  2. Mind the Gap!

The London Underground is efficient, but often busy—stand on the right side of the escalator and follow signage carefully.

  3. Pack for All Weather

London weather can change quickly—bring layers, comfortable walking shoes, and an umbrella, no matter the season.

  4. Book Tickets in Advance Through Viator Link

For popular attractions like the London Eye, West End shows, or Buckingham Palace tours, book early to skip long lines.

  5. Take Advantage of Free Museums

The British Museum, Natural History Museum, and Tate Modern are all free—perfect for budget-friendly exploring.

  6. Walk When You Can

Many top sights are walkable. You’ll often discover hidden gems just by wandering around neighborhoods like Covent Garden, Notting Hill, or South Bank.

  7. Try a Traditional Pub Meal

Enjoy classic British fare like fish and chips or a Sunday roast in a local pub—but don’t forget, you usually order at the bar!
